Altman-Charter Company announced today it has completed additions and remodels at two facilities for Granite City Steel and Community Credit Union (GCS). Altman-Charter, based in St. Louis, specializes in the planning, design, and construction management of financial institutions.

The contracts called for an addition to an existing branch in Pontoon Beach, IL and an interior remodel of an operations space in Granite City, IL. Both projects improved operational efficiencies for credit union support staff.

“In order to keep the facilities in operation during construction, we developed a unique schedule to keep project costs down while allowing GCS employees to maintain their current rate of productivity,” said John Alessi, Executive Vice President of the Altman-Charter Company.

This project follows a branch facility Altman-Charter completed for the credit union in Edwardsville, IL last Spring.
