Citizens State Bank of Versailles Completed - 4/15/2004 Altman-Charter Company announced today that it has completed construction on the Citizens State Bank of Versailles new bank facility in Versailles, MO. Altman-Charter, based in St. Louis, specializes in the planning, design, and construction management of financial institutions. The new one-story, 4,100 sf home-office facility was constructed in downtown Versailles to serve the surrounding rural community. The traditional design includes a classic pitched roof and brick exterior with two-lanes of drive-up service and a drive-up ATM. In order to accommodate the needs of a large Mennonite community, the parking lot includes a hitching post to park a horse and buggy. Altman-Charter’s project team constructed the facility to accommodate for future expansion as well. “During the planning stages we took a lot of time to understand the vision of the bank to be sure we were not only meeting the current needs of the institution but the long-term needs as well,” said Glenn Pauly, Director of Architectural Design. A vaulted entranceway helps to bring the exterior into the building interior and is accented with indirect lighting. Other interior features include 3 lobby tellers, 4 offices, a work room, and conference room. Altman-Charter bid the job to local contractors who began construction in July. Altman-Charter Company’s design/build team has worked together for over 25 years building financial institutions.
