First National Bank of Tremont
Tremont, Illinois

BEFORE

Unwilling to abandon their headquarters location within the downtown business district, the bank approached Altman Charter to help them develop an expansion plan for their growing needs within the community.

AFTER

The final design solved several functional problems including moving the drive-up facility to allow better site access, expanded service and better staff utilization. By moving the drive-up to the opposite end of the building, a new addition was constructed to house new lending offices, new accounts and executive areas. Another primary consideration with the new design was creation of a new grand entry area and updated image for the bank.

In addition to the added fuctional spaces for lending offices and new accounts, the entire operational function of the bank was improved. Lobby tellers were moved to be closer to the new drive-up location; bookkeeping, proof and cashier areas were expanded and functionally improved. Yet again, a newer, more distinguished image was part of the bank's desire to reiterate their commitment to the community. The most complex challenge of the entire process was the coordination of multiple phases of construction. Multiple moves and sequences were coordinated in advance with bank management to ensure minimal disruption to existing operations. In total, Altman Charter''s diligence saved the bank more than eight percent (8%) of the banks total development budget.
